specifically designed for PCs. Red Hat is our preferred
choice for Linux flavors for its extensive documentation, and

Behind
the WWW curtain lies good old fast Apache. The
Apache Server Project has created the fastest, more efficient,
featureful and freely-available Web server out there. It is
available for quite a few platforms, Linux being one where it
performs more nicely. It allows users to have their own configuration
files for how the visitors will access his site. |

added to all our servers and will be supported from now on forward.

The
FTP Server running to accompany our top of the line system is
provided by NcFTP
Software. NcFTPD is a top class server offering the best
performance and very easy to setup arquitecture. Free personal
and student versions are available. |

Our
Web Server is equipped with the SSLeay package for secure transactions.
The Secure Socket Layer protocol is needed to achieve secure
connections, so our customers can have peace of mind when entering
any kind of private information into our system. We can equip
your Web Page with a secure certificate but the owner of the
certificate has to cover the charges to Verisign or Thawte. |

MySQL
is now included with our bigger packages (starting with the SpeedWeb. For other accounts it can
be added at
a slim additional cost, we can set you up with MySQL functionality
that many of you like. We do not offer it to our smaller accounts
to keep our prices low, but we do support it. Feel free to ask
about it if you need it. |

We
have many happy customers using FrontPage for their website
design. While the FrontPage extensions aren't supported (Hey,
we love Linux too much) you may still use FrontPage for all
the useful functionality of designing your website and transferring
it to the server as a whole. |
